IRS Makes Less Taxing WebsiteeWeek After a five-month period during which the IRS developed criteria, searched for vendors and hosted a search solution "bake-off," Verity's updated system came out on top. One of the key reasons, said Susan Smoter, director of Internet development services, was Ultraseek's flexibility. "Basically, what we do with search, and with the entire Web site, is we manage the taxonomy and the metadata," she said. "There's a lot of work that we've already invested in the site, to make sure that the content is properly tagged. We found that when we looked at these products ... Verity was the product that best took advantage of all of the work that we've already done.
