I get two different types of 304 errors. What is the difference?

Answer

The difference is that some of those are Ultraseek-determined 304 errors and some are Web server-determined 304's.

Ultraseek always includes the original response text in the status message. The status "304 OK, unchanged" means the original message was "OK", and the spider noted that it was "unchanged".

The status "304 Not Modified" is a response from the Web server.
